How long does a Disco Ceilidh last?
At a wedding we usually host all of the entertainment, typically running from late afternoon until midnight. Birthday parties tend to start a bit later. However, we can tailor our performance to meet the needs of your party – every one is different! From warm-up cocktail vibes to a gameshow, a ceilidh and an end-of-the-night DJ set to bring your celebration to an epic climax, we’ve got you covered.
Can you add in live music and dancers?
Absolutely. We work with a range of brilliant saxophone players, brass sections, percussionists and dancers and can add in a combination of these to match your budget.
Do you host all of the entertainment for a party?
Generally we deliver all of the entertainment at a party, but we can easily work alongside other suppliers you have organised separately, for instance a live band or singers.
What is the minimum number of guests needed for a Disco Ceilidh party to work?
We are really flexible and are experienced in running intimate parties as well as larger affairs with hundreds of partygoers. As a guide, 30 guests offer enough dancers to form a decent corridor of 15 partners, so that is a great start.
So do you actually do a ceilidh but to disco music?!
Yes, exactly! Kevin has worked as a caller with ceilidh bands for over 15 years. We’ve blended this expertise with Max’s DJ mastery and vast musical repertoire to create a unique party experience: traditional ceilidh dancing to a DJ dropping banger after banger. From 70s disco to 90s pop, 00s R&B to Americana, UK Garage, club classics and Drum & Bass. It’s party bangers all the way!
Can we choose some of the music for a Disco Ceilidh?
Definitely. We always work collaboratively with our clients, to help us understand the music they love, and the eras and tunes that will really fire up their dancefloor.
How much do you charge?
All our parties are bespoke and designed to meet the specific needs of each client. We don’t have a standard set price, but drop us a message and include as much information as you can about your party. We’ll come back to you with a quote within 24 hours.
How does your payment schedule work?
Once you have booked us, we ask for a fifty per cent payment as a deposit to secure your date, with the balance payment made the week before your party.
What equipment do you provide?
We provide all of the equipment that you need to make your party fizz. A state of the art speaker system, top of the range lighting, a choice of two beautiful DJ booths and all the DJ tech and wireless mics required. All of this is included in our quote.
Can we book the Wedding Gameshow for a birthday party?
Yes you can, the Gameshow works really well for any celebration or event – it’s an absolute winner!
Where are you based, and how far will you travel?
Kevin is based in London, and Max lives in Hay-on-Wye, right on the Welsh/English border. We travel and perform together all across the UK and into Europe.
